Tours - best practice
Best practice = best experience.
To ensure a smooth selling experience at every show, please work through the checklist below well before doors open - ideally before tour starts.
Before tour begins
- Set up your login and PIN as soon as you receive it - don't leave this until the day of a show
- Save your login email, password, and PIN somewhere accessible and share with any sellers or managers who'll need them. Reset online if needed
- Do a test transaction following our setup guides: Touring with terrible* - UK/EU or Touring with terrible* USA
- Bookmark your portal* analytics page so your reports are easy to access throughout the tour
Day of show
- Set up your POS and card reader at least a few hours before your show — never leave it until doors
- Run a test transaction at the venue to confirm the card reader is connecting and payments are processing correctly
- Check you have wifi or a reliable mobile data connection at the merch stand — if the venue wifi is unreliable, use a personal hotspot as backup
