How to open your reports and statements in excel

We sometimes see garbled symbols when our reports are opened in programs that do not use UTF-8 by default (like excel)

Below is a guide that helps open these reports to ensure that the data retains correct currency or other symbols

  1. Open Excel
  2. Go to Data → Get Data → From File → From Text/CSV
  3. Select your downloaded .csv statement file
  4. In the import window:
    • Set File Origin to 65001: Unicode (UTF-8).
    • Confirm the delimiter is correct (usually Comma).
  5. Click Load to open it properly
